Tax recommendation: Last year I did my taxes with Cash App Taxes for free and they did just as good a job as Turbotax online. Though I eventually called Turbotax Live Full Service because I had messed up my taxes in years past and only just realized. That was a good experience, though cost $400.

In response to Trump ordering the release of water, ostensibly to help stop the southern California wildfires (see his tweet on X), the water officials in the strongly Republican Kern County, California said, “What the fuck, stop messing with our water, Trump! That is not helpful AT ALL!”

The article reports:

Tulare County water managers were perplexed and frustrated, noting both physical and legal barriers that make it virtually impossible for Tulare County river water to be used for southern California fires.

And Dan Vink, longtime Tulare County water manager said:

This decision was clearly made by someone with no understanding of the system or the impacts that come from knee-jerk political actions.”

No, this policy didn’t factor into this airline disaster.

What’s his goal here? It seems like it’s to create discrimination and make people with disabilities that otherwise can do their jobs a pariah, but that can’t be right, can it?

Why the hell does every email marketer insist on sending daily or even more frequent emails to me!

Here’s what I sent to Panda Express today

I signed up for Panda express emails recently, when our family went to dinner. The food was good, not too expensive, and fun!

I started getting 1 email or so per week. It was fine. Actually, it was fun! The scratcher game was fun! Then I got 2 per week. Now twice a day.

I’m out. And there’s no way to reduce the frequency to a reasonable amount. You have lost me as an email contact!

That “boil the frog slowly” mentality about email marketing totally sucks!

How do I get NORMAL bathroom sink aerators? The seal on the old one failed after like 20 years. Now I’m trying to get another “normal” 2.2 GPM aerator. But those are illegal contraband in California! I could only get this crappy 1.5 GPM aerator that’s noisy and takes forever to do anything. Ace Hardware won’t sell me one. Amazon won’t knowingly sell me one. So I bought an unlisted, unmonitored, gray-market aerator on Amazon. It scares my wife Megan, the water flow is so strong!

I’m looking for recommendations for good American mid-size, mid-priced sedans. (or maybe a not-sporty SUV or similar) My 88 year-old mother may be shopping for a new car lease. Recommendations?

Facebook is rapidly becoming crappier. Zillions of ads and promotions of groups and crap you don’t want. I use Fluff Busting Purity and it makes it much more tolerable. Install the extension here and set the options. It only works on a real computer, not a phone, so I uninstalled FB from my phone. Going to the toilet is now fun again! The photo is the home page of my FB Purity settings.

It also helps to Snooze or Unsubscribe from groups that don’t help. I unsubbed from them all.

If this keeps up, I’m going to have to connect with my friends the old fashioned way again… email, text, and (dare I say) phone calls!)
