Pardon our Dust

I’m having someone import old blog entries to WordPress. Things might be a little wonky for a week or two but all will be well shortly.

I just noticed that I am having my old Journal imported to my WordPress blog exactly 1 year after starting with WordPress.

How do you transfer money for payment? Wire? Bank transfers? Mail a check? I will pay you for your work in international postal credit…

  3. Lee says: has an payment escrow system. This is the first time I’ve used it but it seems like there’s a lot of good built in protections for the seller and purchaser. It has more protections than you’d see on eBay, probably because of the more costly, ephemeral and international nature of the transactions.

When this job is done, I’ll tell everyone how it went. So far, it’s working out very well.

Ooo, this is so exciting! You may have noticed from the top of the blog homepage that the number of pages of blog entries has soared from 40 pages three days ago to 71 as of 2-21-06 4pm PST. At 8 entries per page, that’s 250 entries pulled in from my old journal. :-) I haven’t reviewed most of them but it’s looking excellent so far :-)

Paying people to do useful things feels good.

SebastianBassi from just finished pulling some 400 old posts from my pre-Wordpress journal into WordPress. I’ve now got 803 posts in WP. :-)
