It&#8217;s also known as hook and loop fasteners. I use Velcro for <a href=\"https:\/\/pecsusa.com\/pecs\/\">PECS<\/a> cards, game cards, attaching stuff to my door, First-Then cards, and lots of other stuff. I asked myself, &#8220;What is the best way to mount Velcro?&#8221; Do the hooks\/rough side go on the wall or the object?<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s the rule that I follow&#8230; the Velcro rule!<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Soft goes on the surface.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lee.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Velcro.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-8141\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lee.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Velcro.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.lee.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Velcro.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.lee.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Velcro-200x133.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.lee.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Velcro-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.lee.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/Velcro-50x33.jpg 50w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Why?<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If you put the hooked side on the hand-held object, the picture, or whatever, then you can attach that object to felt, cloth, or headliner material<\/li>\n<li>Holding the rough side gives the user good tactile feedback. That makes it a little easier to figure how to place the object onto the soft side.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>By picking one standard, all your items become compatible with one another.
