{"id":4100,"date":"2011-05-18T12:41:16","date_gmt":"2011-05-18T19:41:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/lee.org\/blog\/?p=4100"},"modified":"2011-05-18T12:41:16","modified_gmt":"2011-05-18T19:41:16","slug":"pushing-images-from-wpbook-to-facebook","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.lee.org\/blog\/2011\/05\/18\/pushing-images-from-wpbook-to-facebook\/","title":{"rendered":"Pushing images from WPBook to Facebook"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>If you use WPBook to push your WordPress posts to Facebook, this is for you.<\/p>\n<p>I followed <a href=\"http:\/\/markjaquith.wordpress.com\/2009\/12\/23\/new-in-wordpress-2-9-post-thumbnail-images\/\">these instructions<\/a> and it worked in no time.<\/p>\n<p>But just to be brief, here is what I did:<\/p>\n<p>I added the following text to the functions.php file of my WordPress theme:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>add_theme_support( &#8216;post-thumbnails&#8217; );<br \/>\nset_post_thumbnail_size( 50, 50 ); \/\/ 50 pixels wide by 50 pixels tall, box resize mode<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Then, whenever I upload an image, there is a little button next to the &#8220;Insert Post&#8221; button that is labelled &#8220;Use as featured image&#8221;. I click that on the image I want to show as the thumbnail in Facebook.<\/p>\n<p>:-)<\/p>\n<p>It would be nice if it just automatically selected the first image in the post as the Featured Image, but it doesn&#8217;t. I have to do it manually.
