These are new to me but a little googling shows a pretty consistent theme, e.g.:<\/p>\n<p>(<a href=\"http:\/\/tips.webdesign10.com\/flash-cookies-privacy\">webdesign10.com<\/a>)Web sites use them to track you because they know that most people don&#8217;t know about them and that they can track you even after you have cleared your privacy settings.<\/p>\n<p>(<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Local_Shared_Object#Privacy_concerns\">wikipedia<\/a>)Several services even use LSOs as surreptitious data storage to reinstate traditional cookies that a user deleted, a policy called &#8220;re-spawning&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m going to add KFC to my \u00a0occasional \u00a0spring-cleaning of cookies and the like.
