It works just as well and now updating my posts is much faster. The way the original Smart Archives plugin works, when you click &#8220;Publish&#8221; in WordPress, the user has to wait until the new archives page is generated before continuing. Now it&#8217;s done in the background. A 20 second wait is  \u00a0now 5 seconds :-)<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to the magic of open source, a really good plugin has been made even better :-)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve been using the Smart Archives plugin for a year to make a pretty and complete archive page for the site.
