I tried to reboot the iphone several times but it didn&#8217;t work. First, I tried rebooting by just holding down the sleep\/wake button on the upper right corner of the iphone. Normally that turns the phone on. But instead, the booting-up Apple appeared for 30 seconds and then the phone turned off again.<\/p>\n<p>Then I tried restarting the phone by pushing the Sleep\/Wake button and the Home button at the same time and holding it for 10 seconds. Again, the phone started up and then died.<\/p>\n<p>I called AT&amp;T who sent me to Apple and they told me how to restore my iPhone completely to factory settings.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Start up iTunes and plug the USB cable into the computer but not the iPhone<\/li>\n<li>Hold down the Home button on the iPhone for 10 seconds. You&#8217;ll see an image of a USB plug appear on the iPhone.<\/li>\n<li>Keep holding down the Main button while you plug the cable into the iPhone.<\/li>\n<li>Follow the prompts on the iPhone and iTunes to restore your phone to brand new condition. Restoring will take about 10 minutes, and then you&#8217;ll have to fiddle with the phone for an hour to get it back to how you liked it.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Note that this will wipe all of the settings on your phone. :-(<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Last night I was installing and uninstalling some apps on my iphone and the phone crashed.
