I would use <a title=\"high quality lossy compression standard\" href=\"http:\/\/www.vorbis.com\/\">Vorbis Ogg <\/a>since it has significantly better sound quality per megabyte used (192kbps is indistinguishable from the real thing. In MP3, 256kbps is <strong>almost<\/strong> as good)<\/p>\n<p>Support tools I use for music:<\/p>\n<p><strong>flac112a.exe<\/strong> &#8211; The FLAC tools so that CDex can convert files to FLAC. Note settings in CDex: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Encoder: External Encoder<\/li>\n<li>\tEncoder path: C:\\Program Files\\FLAC\\flac.exe<\/li>\n<li>\tParameter String: -8 -o %2 -T &#8220;artist=%a&#8221; -T &#8220;title=%t&#8221; -T &#8220;album=%b&#8221; -T &#8220;date=%y&#8221; -T &#8220;tracknumber=%tn\/%tt&#8221; -T &#8220;genre=%g&#8221; -&#8220;<\/li>\n<li>\tbitrate: doesn&#8217;t matter<\/li>\n<li>\tfile extention: flac<\/li>\n<li>\tMake sure that in the generic tab, &#8220;ID3 tag version&#8221; is set to &#8220;none&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>FLAC plugin for Winamp<\/strong> &#8211; FLAC_plugin_with_library_support for Winamp.exe by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.facquet.com\/\">Michael Facque<\/a>t. It lets Winamp read FLAC files. Library support means that tags are read correctly :-)   <a href=\"http:\/\/winamp.com\/plugins\/details.php?id=143614\">Winamp Reference<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>out_lame<\/strong> &#8211; A Winamp output plug-in to create MP3 files directly from Winamp.
