I especially noticed that scrolling started in Chrome had becoming insane-makingly jittery. I found some tips and THIS one seems to work!<\/p>\n<p>(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/MacOS\/comments\/1no872w\/psa_macos_26_bug_leads_to_performance_issues_in\/\">via<\/a>)<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>To disable the problematic feature for all apps thus fixing the issue, run the following command in the Terminal:<\/p>\n<p>defaults write -g NSAutoFillHeuristicControllerEnabled -bool false<\/p>\n<p>And restart all apps\/system. Note this also disables macOS&#8217;s native autofill feature.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>That worked to fix my computer! It&#8217;s now back to being zippy-fast and not overheating for no reason.<\/p>\n<p>If you need to remove this fix, run this command in Terminal:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>defaults delete -g NSAutoFillHeuristicControllerEnabled<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The same post also says this, though I don&#8217;t need to run it to fix my problem&#8230;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>To fix the perf issues for Electron apps (and presumably Chrome\/Chromium browsers?), also run:<\/p>\n<p>launchctl setenv CHROME_HEADLESS 1<\/p>\n<p>Note this need to be re-run every time you reboots.
