{"id":11335,"date":"2025-09-17T23:06:25","date_gmt":"2025-09-18T06:06:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.lee.org\/blog\/?p=11335"},"modified":"2025-09-17T23:06:25","modified_gmt":"2025-09-18T06:06:25","slug":"ben-and-jerrys-boycott","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.lee.org\/blog\/2025\/09\/17\/ben-and-jerrys-boycott\/","title":{"rendered":"Ben and Jerry&#8217;s Boycott"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In light of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/2025\/09\/17\/nx-s1-5544283\/ben-jerrys-jerry-greenfield-resigns-unilever\">Jerry resigning from Ben and Jerry&#8217;s<\/a> because Unilever isn&#8217;t holding up their end of the deal, I sent another letter to Unilever:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>I wrote to you in March (see my public archive of the letter <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lee.org\/blog\/2025\/03\/19\/letter-to-unilever-and-ben-and-jerrys-ice-cream-about-their-social-mission\/\">here<\/a>) saying &#8220;If you abandon Ben and Jerry\u2019s social mission, I will stop purchasing your product and strongly suggest to my friends the same.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>My family has avoided your products since March.
